A Second Look

posted Jun 22, 2017, 5:17 AM by Matt Harmless

On Wednesday nights at 6pm, we have been having at "Second Look" at the Sunday Sermon. During this second look, we are attempting to focus on the application of the Sunday Sermon, and to take a deeper look as to how it impacts our lives. Here are a few reasons why you ought to come to this:
  1. You need it: Most of us cannot easily go the whole week without some Christian interaction, encouragement, accountability, and a little confrontation to help us continue through the week. Living for Christ is challenging. Trying to live for Christ without the support system of people that He himself set in place, impossible.
  2. You ought to do it: In Hebrews 10:24-25, it says, "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." There are many areas that we can and will neglect. Meeting together as a body of believers should not be one of them.
  3. It is worth it: No matter how tired I've been and no matter how much I wasn't sure that I wanted to go, once I had gone, I did not regret it at all... I was so glad that I came.
  4. Others need you: You may not know this, but one of the most discouraging things that can happen, is when you plan a get-together, and some your people don't show. In the verse that I quoted earlier, it says, "... but encouraging one another..." You don't necessarily go to encourage yourself alone. You go because of your love for the others who will be there, and you consider how you could encourage them!
  5. There are snacks: OK. I know this one doesn't sound spiritual, but there is some precedent for mentioning this. Food goes so well with Fellowship. All throughout the Bible, when you see some people really getting close, having good conversation, you will see them, quite often, eating together... sharing a meal. So come and have a snack with us.
Wednesday Nights at 6pm at Edgewood.

Fellowship Lunch

posted Mar 10, 2016, 5:34 AM by Ashley Harmless

Edgewood has a fellowship lunch every month which has been our tradition for several years now. It has the feel of a big family dinner where everyone chips in and brings a dish or two to share. This meal has been great for building unity in our church and encouraging love and fellowship towards one another.

Please join us this Sunday (March 13th) for our fellowship lunch right after the morning service. (If you're a visitor, don't bring any food, just come and enjoy!)

Sunday, December 28th

posted Dec 27, 2014, 12:34 PM by Church Secretary

Join us this Sunday for our Morning Worship Service with Pastor Matt Harmless as we open God's Word together looking at Jude 1:3-4.

Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

All Bible Classes start at 9:30am. The Morning Service starts at 10:30am. No Fellowship Lunch this week.
